Question:
I am 31 and have a marked left external jugular vein distention. It appeared after a normal vaginal labor and delivery. I have had facial, neck, throat, arm and hand symptoms on that side. Mostly noticable paralysis or weakness, some pinching pain, and slight blurry vision with ptosis of my eyelid. Also I cannot take a deep breath on that side. Physicians are unconcerned and say it's a "healthy vein". It's been almost three years, and the symptoms are progressing. A thyroid scan came back normal. No MRI's have been done.I am not getting anywhere with my exams because I can't explain it very well. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
