Question:
My sister has had several things happen to her lately. She has not yet seen a doctor and I am concerned. Her hands lately have been turning white, blue and hurt sometimes very bad. She even had a spell with her face puffing. She has had what I think are TIA's also where her arm will go numb and she can't use it. The other day at work she said all of a sudden her head got really hot and it felt like the blood was flowing down into her ears and she couldn't hear. Our father has had a stroke and several TIA's. He also has Heart Failure and has had several heartattacks which started at the age of 43. He also at that time was diagnosed with Reynauds Phenomenum which we moved to Florida to get out of the cold weather. My sister is now 40, lives in the cold climate of Mich. and is a smoker. Can TIA's cause the symptoms of Reynauds? Or are they not related?
