Question:
My father went to the hospital about eight months ago diagnosed with a blood clot in his vein. He was informed that because it was in the vein the doctors could not operate. He was put on blood thinning medication and then returned home on comedin which, was discontinued five months later. He's back in the hospital with another blood clot and the doctors want to follow the same procedure. ARe there any other options that I have to help him and prevent the clots from reoccuring.

Answer:
Coumadine is the only option. But ask your doctors what they think why he is constantly developping these blood clots, has he got a malignant tumor , cancer ?
