In the news todayarkinson’s Drug Helps to Relieve Symptoms of Restless Leg SyndromeHow does this new medication compare to Pramipexole Drydrochloride? I currently take 1 mg 2 x daily. However, I can still feel the symptoms return in 10 hours. I especially have problems at night before taking my medication, and before bedtime. I occassionally get twitches in my shoulders & back also. Is amyone else experiencing these problems? Thanks Patti

Parkinson's drugs have recently been found to cause heart trouble, like damaged valves.

I have found that drinking tonic water helps. Some people use quinine in prescription strength, but that has problems too, it is not a super-safe drug. Tonic water has low levels of quinine. I drink about 8 oz of it when my legs are bothering me.
