Arterial Embolism
Symptoms
Symptoms of an embolism can range from none at all to chest pain, shortness of breath, sudden dizziness and vomiting, and the coughing up of blood, and can vary greatly depending on the position of the embolus. Often, a lack of symptoms is more dangerous than an abundance of symptoms, as this can lead to the emboli blocking important circulatory paths with no prior warning, possibly causing sudden death.
