Lymphedema
Symptoms
When lymph vessels are damaged or missing, the flow of lymph fluid is abnormal, causing the fluid to accumulate around the damaged area, which can result in a number of symptoms, including a feeling of “tightness” of the skin, loss of flexibility of the hand, a sensation of fullness in the affected limb(s), suddenly tight jewelry on the fingers or wrists, and clothing that does not fit as it used to in a specific area (such as pants that are too tight in one leg only).
