Left ClavicleThoracicOutletSyndrome from dvt last year
Wife and mother of four,last year on April 30th while working up the flowerbeds,I began feeling lightheaded,and some pain in lower arm.By morning I knew it was more than muscle soreness.After showering,dressing,I couldn't put my watch on that I wore daily!My left arm was throbbing,red and purplish,and swollen noticeably.Went to a physician,who sent me for an ultrasound in neighboring town.Blood clot in a main vein.Administered Lovenox shots every 12 hours for five days,and then put on coumadin therapy,I went thru a gauntlet of tests,blood tests,mamogram,and a cat scan.The cat scan results showed compression of the subclavian vein, not enough room,and a small embolism,1 mm.I thank god for the small 1 mm.I am an active,healthy woman,and am still on coumadin therapy,hoping to be able to get in a clinical trial, and have a rib removal by a thoracic, vascular, surgeon.I live in rural Idaho,and can't afford individual health insurance,are their any clinical trials available?
