Veins Popping in Fingers
I have been suffering from this same problem for over 10 years. I have a vessel pop about once a year lately, twice last year. It is very scary b/c no one seems to know what causes this phenomenon. I also have Raynaud's Disease which they think plays a role. Last year they ran a battery of tests and found nothing. My doctor, who specializes in Raynauds, says that I have vascular fragility and that although strange is nothing for me to worry about. I had to have a ring cut off last year b/c the vessel that popped caused my finger to swell so much that I couldn't get the ring off and when I tried to pry it off my finger bled more inside. Just three days ago I had another pop, doing the most mundane things, laundry. I called my primary and talked with her and she said there is nothing more she can think of doing. She says my finger veins are just not ordinary and to live with it. This does not sit right with me so I continue my search for answers which is how I found your post. I have seen over ten physicians and no one can find one thing wrong with me. My husband is a doctor, at a prestigious hospital in NYC and although he keeps reassuring me I am not convinced. It's just so strange.
