My husband is in excrutiating pain

My husband had surgery for a varicose vein in his scrotum. Very much in pain, he went through surgery to remove the vein. His recovery was supposed to be about a week and here it is seven and a half months later the doctor kept telling him it was inflamation. My husband went to another urologist and they found the vein still there, and very large, and much more pain than before the surgery. He was told he has to have the same surgery again. What do you suggest???
