Trivex update
Hello, I promised to return to the board after my Trivex procedure to tell you about it in case you are contemplating it. I have portions of vein removed from my outer right thigh and at the junction between my inner thigh and calf on 10/1. I went under very heavy conscious sedation so they would not have to put me on a respirator. The surgery took about 45 minutes and I was home within 3 hours. I can tell you in all honesty that the ONLY problem I have had with the procedure is a large hematoma on my inner thigh. I mean LARGE. My doc says it will take time to dissipate. The surgery and recovery were nearly pain-free (I only took 3 or 4 pain killers the whole week. The bruising is nearly gone. I was surprised that I had to have nine incisions when I was expecting three at most, but I am told they will disappear. So far, I am impressed with the procedure. My legs feel much better and recovery was amazingly quick!
