Need some kind of relief for my Mom ????

I'm looking for some answers for my Mom who is having a lot of trouble with her lower legs and ankles and feet. I have taken her to see her own doctor several times now and he keeps saying that her veins are old and tired and that she needs to elevate her legs as much as possible, wear support panty hose and not cross her legs when relaxing in a chair. I know that this is good advice for everyone, but for my 85 year old Mother who only weighs 85 pounds it is not what she wants to hear.

She has been checked out by her doctor for sugar diabetes and always comes back normal. No signs of any other problems except poor circulation and her veins-- she has so many that sometimes it looks like her lower leg is dark blue or black. She says that her legs also feel very hot to touch and painful. They are also red.

I feel so bad because she aways leaves the doctors empty-handed. I just know that there has to be something out there that can give her some relief. But I really don't know what's wrong either, I can only go by what the doctor is telling us. She has taken all kinds of antibiotics and that doesn't work either.

I would love to hear from someone that might have an idea what's wrong with my Mother. And maybe someone knows if some kind of suppelments or medication can help her, or hot or cold compress's or anything. Thanks for taking your time to listen to my story. Concerned Daughter Cyndi
