Bulging veins on right lower leg w/clots on ankle and overall leg swelling
I am a white male age 53 and about 5 years ago I developed what I think is a vericose vein in my right leg that bulges whenever I am on my feet. When I lie down for all intensive purposes it dissapears. After approx 2 years of the bulging veins I developed what appears to be a series of related clots on my right ankle. Now there was never really any pain associated with this condition until about 1 year ago. Since then the vein has increased in size and the clots seem to be bulging a bit themselves. Pain occurs irradically and it is stabbing but certainly not unbearable. My fear is (of course) that it will increase in length of time and intensity...The strange thing (and lucky thing no doubt) is that this occurs in the RIGHT leg only.
Anyway, does any one have a similar situation and perhaps a solution? The leg also swells during the day after standing on it of course...I also wear a somewhat compressed support stocking...
HELP if you can Please.
