Did my lung transplant cause the CVI Hello. I am a 46year old female who had a double lung transplant in March of 2001.Ever since then the doctors have been blaming my swelling on to my much salt. I knew that was not true since I cut salt out of my diet in l996 when I first developed my lung disease. I have just been diagnosed with CVI. I am wondering if anyone else knows if the transplant or the immunosuppressants I take could have caused it. I am now today just downloading information on CVI. I am looking for a cure. I can't wear shoes, the pain is severe and I look horrible. If anyone knows the answer to my question, please e-mail me.
