Hi i'm a 43 year old male who was as healthy as can be in dec of 93.I was in great shape,than 1 day i noticed my leg was swollen,i intially was told it was tendenitis but after taken a test for the deep veins it showed i had thrombophelbitis which had me hospitalized for a while and destroyed all my valves.It was devastating and now after having 5 ulcers.maximum compression in stockings and a lot of unbelievable pain and depression,i have finally learned to deal with it.So if you have this regardless of your age, wear compression stockings,elevate your leg above your heart when you can and try to be upbeat and learn just to deal with it there are alot of people worse,i understand if you are suffering ,i had a lot of trouble dealing withit also.I was working in pain and go in thru a divorce but life is to short and follow your docs instructions and if you hear of any break thru of invention that can restore your incumpetent valves than please contact me.
