port wine stains My daughter was born in 1976 and had a port wine stain on the right side of her face from her hair line down (on her temple)to her ear, dark purple. My dr. said it was a strawberry, and would go away, I knew better from Dr.Spock. With her hair down you could barely see it. Before she started kindergarten she was wearing a product called Covermark. Now she wears Dermablend?? She has adjusted to it, however I know it has caused her a lot of physcological pain.She has 3 kids but only one has a small portwine on his arm.My concern is I had a stroke at 46 due to vassculitis,a malformation of my blood vessels, And aren"t there more concerns for strokes in people with dark port wines in that area, Would it by wise to seek laser treatment to seal off those capilaries and veins?
